The Listening Post

The Listening Post is located on traditional xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) territory. It is near the corner of Main and Hastings in the heart of the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. The intention of the space is to provide a sacred, safe space where all are welcome to come away from the chaos of the streets into a contemplative atmosphere to listen to the voice of wisdom within and to be offered a listening ear. It is a place where whoever enters is welcome and received with respect. Since it began, the space has been hosted by volunteers, two each day, Monday through Friday.  A time of centering prayer is faciliated at 1pm and 3pm each weekday. 

Inside is a sitting area with chairs and floor cushions.  A small kitchenette allows for the ability to make tea or refreshments.  There is a loft upstairs with a healing touch table and a separate space for offering more privacy for conversations. 

The Listening Post primarily operates as a drop in space, however it may be available to small groups for day bookings.
