Update Regarding Covid-19

For us, as for many of you, these days of physically distancing have given us pause to slow down, to find new ways of connecting, and to listen for the Spirit's wisdom in these uncertain times.

As we have considered how we may begin to re-open, we have paid close attention to the directives of our provincial health officer. We do not anticipate operating at full capacity until we enter into Phase 4 of BC's Restart Plan (when we have a vaccine, broad community immunity or successful treatments).

We do anticipate beginning to welcome individual retreatants at the Hermitage in August, and beginning to welcome small group retreats at the lodge in August with individual retreatants welcomed on a limited basis beginning later in September. We are committed to adhering to the highest levels of safety for each other and for our wider community. To that end, we have established protocols for physical distancing, hand washing, use of the kitchen and common areas and expectations for cleaning and disinfecting.

If you would like to book a retreat, please email your request and someone will get back to you within a few days.

Rivendell Retreat is...

a place of peace and quiet away from the noise, distractions and pressures of the city, with magnificent views of mountains, forests and seas...

a sanctuary with a network of trails that offer the opportunity for discovering  new intimacy with God while exploring forest
paths and the wonders of creation…

located on 6 1/2 acres atop Cates Hill on Bowen Island; a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay and West Vancouver...

hosted by a volunteer Christian community, rooted in the gospel values of Jesus and the practiced traditions of prayer, silence, simplicity and hospitality.  Rivendell offers a welcome to small groups and individuals who are seeking spiritual renewal, respite and growth, and is accessible to people with limited resources and special needs.
