Aware of the spiritual longings of the world, we offer places of retreat for all who seek spiritual renewal, respite and growth. We are a community rooted in Christian contemplative practice and inspired by the values of love, healing and justice.
Five Sacred Spaces
The mission of Rivendell includes overseeing and tending five sacred spaces.
Four are located on Bowen Island and the fifth in the inner city of Vancouver.
The Rivendell Way
The Rivendell Way is a Christian community devoted to nurturing and supporting a contemplative life of prayer and action through spiritual practices and dedicated sacred spaces.
Rivendell Retreats
The Rivendell Retreats offers guided silent retreats as well as facilitated retreats that focus on particular themes.
Book a Personal or Group Retreat
Individuals and groups are able to book their own retreats as space is available.
Groups can book retreats at the Rivendell Lodge on Cates Hill. Personal retreats can be booked at the Lodge, the Cottage and the Hermitage. Penny Lou Cottage is available by application for writers and illustrative storytellers.
